Co-operation- a generator for ideas
It was torn off one more sheet from the calendar of the mutual co-operations of IRP by the work visit in Poland paid by a group of experts. Our delegation aimed to know the forms and the advanced methods of their Polish colleagues regarding the revaluation of programs for preparing the release of detainees. The experts visited the Sieldce prison, had meetings within the local administration with the counsellors for probation and with the mayor of Sieldce city. Also they acquainted themselves with the activity of the Day Centre Kofeda and the Courtroom of Sieldce city.
According to the schedule, the next visit was paid to the Prison for preventive custody and the Department of Penitentiary Institutions, afterwards there took place a meeting with the counsellors for probation within the Courtroom of Warsaw city.
At hte Batorya Fund and the Polish Service od social assistance the moldovan experts had relevant discussions, focused on their daily activity. Later on, they aquainted themselves with the spectrum of activities of the local NGOs.
The schedule of visits finished with a visit to the Ministry of Justice, where the hosts generalized the organisation of certain experiments in the line of preparing the realease of detainees.
At their return in the country, the IRP experts have decided during a summarizing discussions, which aspects of the Polish experience they would try to implement in the nearest future. The moldovan reality needs this thing.
