International Seminar "Probation - Activity of Re-Socialization of Persons in Conflict with the Criminal Law"
On July 23-27, 2007 the experts of the Hungarian Department of Justice visited the enforcement departments from Cahul, Balti and Ungheni districts to make an exchange of experience with the local specialists.
On July 23 instant within the Enforcement Department the international seminar "Probation - activity of re-socialization of persons in conflict with the criminal law" was organized by the Enforcement Department, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with the National Institute of Justice, Institute for Penal Reform and UNICEF.
There were invited at the seminar experts from Hungary within the Department of Justice and the Department of Legal Legislation and Legal Administration - Unit of Probation Service and assistance of victims. There also participated representatives of the Enforcement Department, and namely representatives of the division of enforcement of criminal punishments within the Enforcement Department from Centru, Riscani, Ciocana, Botanica, Buciucani in Chisinau, as well as from Anenii Noi, Calarasi, Criuleni, Dubasari, Ialoveni, Nisporeni, Orhei and Straseni districts.
The work agenda of the seminar contained more matters, including discussions about the possible competences of the probation service of the Republic of Moldova and Hungary, their structure, the process of employing the staff and its training, the cooperation with other state and non-governmental structures, legal regulation of the probation activity in Hungary.
